Dubrovnik, the adventure continues.
So where was I ???
So we are in Dubrovnik, and we had begrudgingly left our spectacular hotel.
We jump on a bus not really sure where to get off but I decided when the other touristy looking people jumped off so would we – fool proof plan if ever I heard one.
I was so excited when my ingenious plan worked that my husband quickly bought me back down to earth by informing me it’s the last stop anyway.
Thanks jerk wad 🙂
Anyho Dubrovnik – wow it was amazing rich with history, blanketed in beauty.
We walked around exploring, grateful we came early before the hundreds of people that started to arrive around 11am.
We left the old city to return to our hotel to laze around and pretend like we were wealthy in our 5 star hotel, then returned to Dubrovnik in the evening where the city was even more beautiful by night.
As the lights reflected on the stone walls and the alley ways had come alive with candle lit tables and bustling restaurants everywhere you looked, my brain quickly became a scrambled mess of emotions.
Again I found myself a little overwhelmed at the beauty and charisma of the place, and while I can’t really explain why but these types of moments make me instantly happy and sad as though all of my emotions bubble to the surface and my brain doesn’t quite know how to process it all.
I know how lucky I am to have the opportunity to travel, yet feeling such strong, intense emotions and being part of so many new experiences only leaves me instantly yearning for more.
While the Croatia adventure may be over, my life’s adventures are only just beginning!
