London gripped by a heat wave
So got to be honest all this “news” on heat waves is sending me into fits of hysterics.
I come from hot climates as most of you well know.
Today’s breaking UK news: warning me to exercise extreme caution as I venture outside during the heat wave that grips the nation- as temperatures soared into 32 degrees yesterday the nation has gone crazy.
Me – I couldn’t be more excited if I tried.
So when the bitumen isn’t melting, the tubes aren’t buckling, the locals aren’t getting heat stroke- the rest of the nation are out in the parks, in the pubs, flowing out into the streets making the most of this hot sunny weather.
Holy crap guys level 3 weather warning just issued I have no idea what that means but it sounds serious- I hope I will be safe out there today 🙂
Ok sarcasm aside, London in the summer (an actual summer like this, not a day where the sun comes out, then the clouds immediately cover it and you walk home crying realizing those 5 minutes were summer and you missed it) but a summer with sun and heat is infectious.
It makes sense for a country who is literally clouded in coldness for most of the year to come alive when the weather is this great.
These Brits (the ones not complaining and not suffering heat stroke) sure know how to make the most of it, and I really respect that.
I love witnessing this country living life with such an excited vibe in the air and being a part of such a festival type feeling.
With that being said I am going to grab my water bottle and explore this sunny London festival of the sun.
