War wounds from heaven
This morning I woke up with an achy body and a bruised hip from paddle boarding, I went for a walk to loosen up, got bitten on the toe by a crab, and got bitten on the finger by a yabbie.
Do I care – no, I am in heaven!
Out of thousands of crabs scurrying across the beach this morning, to just be bitten by one is a blessing, and if I were a yabbie being plunged out of my home I too would retaliate – Darn straight yabbie!
My bruises are a visual reminder of the amazing afternoon I had yesterday, as if the images in my mind are not enough.
Yesterday was spectacular and as I sat on the beach this morning, I reflected on the beauty of last night, a date with myself in the most idyllic conditions.
I have spent alot of time by myself in the last few days being terrorised by small animals, but having the time of my life.
My urge to travel is still there but it is not bubbling up to the surface, threatening to make me explode.
With beauty like this literally on my door step and new discoveries to be made every day, I am more than happy to keep sustaining war wounds like this when I am living in heaven.
