Choose your own adventure

This may be showing my age a little too much but….. Anyone remember those ‘choose your own adventure’ books?

I used to read them as a kid, fascinated, intrigued. I remember the excitement that I had not only one but several possible options and outcomes and that thrilled me beyond belief.

I remember thinking I have the ability to choose which door I go through, and to create a different outcome here – amazing!

Did it start with these books this love of adventure of mine, this fascination with opening every door to see what’s behind it, to walk down every path for missing out on something amazing?

Who really knows, all I know is that I feel so darn lucky to have the ability to choose my own adventure.

To choose experiences over the mundane, to explore, to create, to get lost and find myself all over again.

I choose to experience as much of life as I can fit in.

I travel whether it’s a short weekend away or a long trip overseas, travelling keeps me sane, it makes me whole, it is the only logical choice I could ever make.

If you are bored and unhappy with your life, then choose a different outcome if only for a day.

Think of your life as one of these amazing books, you can change the ending of this chapter you are currently on.

Which door will you choose?
