Lounging like a lizard by the lakes

Day 4 of holidays me my husband and my big hair, woke up early to commence our two day tour to Fraser Island.

First stop – Lake Mackenzie a beautiful lake with crystal clear waters, surrounded by pure white sand.

After a refreshing very unladylike plonk in the cool refreshing water I sat and reflected on the beautiful country I live in.

This was our first trip to Fraser Island and I think we were both a little lost in our own thoughts while we took in our new surroundings.

Our quiet contemplative manner was quickly forgotten when we arrived at Lake Wobby a beautiful lake surrounded by sand dunes.

What to do? swim in the refreshing lake to cool off after our 45 minute walk to get there or run up the sand dunes exploring everything like a little kid coz you are so excited.

Explore of course đŸ™‚ Run around like a maniac, trying not to get sucked into a giant beam of light (not sure what happened in that last photo)

There really is something about traveling that unleashes the little kid within. The ability to explore with abandon, to let your inhibitions go, and just live entirely in the moment.

Like a little kid, I ran myself into an excited exhausted state, and resumed to my lizard persona lounging by the lake, soaking up the sun, and cooling my body in the refreshing lake below.
