Sea life (to help me see life)

Following on from my euphoric morning of whales and sunrises I found solitude by a creek. It was early, the water was flat, the air was still, the promise of a new and beautiful day was omnipresent.

Content with the world, excited with my new camera lens, I sat patiently by the waters edge for photographs to present themselves to me.

I love the water- the calmness it fills me with, I watched the sea life floating past me and I envied their life in the sea.

I thought about envy, and wonder why do we always want more than we have. I thought about the sea life again, and instead of feeling envy, instead of thinking of all the places I want to see, I looked into the sea and saw what was right infront of my eyes all along – a beautiful country, my beautiful home, my beautiful life!

I smiled and I thanked the sea for once again opening my eyes and allowing me to see.
