It’s a daunting thought starting a new job and getting out of your comfort zone.  Having to prove yourself all over again, meet new people, learn new things.  To me, that is what travelling is like.  Each new town the cycle repeats itself.  Meeting new people, facing new challenges, learning new things and most importantly of all proving to yourself that you can survive.  Conquering your fears and growing as a person.

Travelling is the ultimate job interview.  You walk into that place, and instantly have to decide how you want to present yourself.  What impression do you wish to leave behind.  Travelling can also be a great way to re-invent yourself ; you can be whoever you want or need to be at that moment in your life.

For once in your life you actually have the time to reflect upon who it is you actually want to be and what you would like to do differently when you return home.

Travelling makes me who I am, it makes me fearless and brave, adventurous and strong, yet it also help to make me realise it is ok to be afraid at times.

Travelling reminds me of one of my favourite sayings:  You have to be scared to be brave!.
